Defense and the Military

We have spent the last several years living under the cloud of uncertainty otherwise known as Continuing Resolutions (CRs). The Federal Government still has not approved an operating budget.  How can the branches of the Department of Defense plan for the future without knowing from one year to the next, how much they will have to operate?  Business can’t successfully function without a budget, and a plan for what’s next.  The military continues to struggle with this reality and somehow manages to do so while defending our nation from a host of enemies across the globe.  Defense contractors are challenged to meet the needs of the military while balancing those needs with their absolute requirements to turn a profit.  Understanding this environment and the many nuances that affect decisions made by the Department of Defense and the military/industrial sector that supports it is essential to strengthening relationships that rely on trust and integrity.  Is there a role for Thunderbird Management to play?
